C-C-Cold

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer. ~ Albert Camus

It's cold outside today. -11 according to the wind chill, so I hope I can beg for forgiveness for not taking my cold photo outside today. Have you ever noticed that the sun shines with a certain intensity when it's cold outside? Like it's trying to make amends for the fact that it is so.very.cold. This kind of cold makes me sad, makes me feel like it'll never be warm again. This morning, though, I was able to capture a little bit of hope next to the bright, cold sun.

It won't be cold forever!

OMG the COLD!! My car has taken to making this, sad, screamy "I'm cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooold" noise in the mornings, and I'm all like, "yeah, B****, get in line."

That IS a welcome sight!! I not only feel like it may never be warm again, but I fear I may never see the ground again.

You are right about the sun being so intense on those frigid days. I love that you posted this flower. About this time of year I forget that summer will ever come again!

I know how you feel. Feb is the shortest month of the year but it always seems to drag on in the cold!

so.tired.of.the.cold.

and I live in the south!

well....for 2.5 more months that is...

Then I'll be in the midwest. Where it's cold LONGER.

sigh...

What a beautiful shot. It says more than cold to me. It says warmth trying to defeat cold and it's gorgeous!

love that! i did something similar, including a cheery element in my "Cold" photo. i made a pretty heart garland for valentines day and have it hanging in the window with the glaring sun and snow behind it.

Lovely picture!

The cold can go away. Now. Or else.

My 0 hour class has taken to reporting the lowest temperature they saw on their car thermometer while driving to school. It does not make my frigid classroom ANY WARMER. They need to stop. Now. Or else.

I know exactly what you mean about the intensity of the sun when it is cold. Your picture could have been taken in my dining room. Gorgeous shot!
