**Giveaway closed! Congrats to Thea**
Given that I have two young kids, I don't get the chance to see many kid movies that aren't cartoons. So when I was given the chance to review The Odd Life of Timothy Green, I jumped at it. A kid movie that isn't a cartoon? Sign me up!
To be honest, I wasn't quite sure if the boys would be into it because as I said, they're still in the cartoon watching stage. To my surprise, they both loved it and have watched it three times since we received it. This is big for Tommy who struggles to sit through feature length cartoons, let alone movies that have actual humans in them.
And as for me? Well, I cried. I could relate to so many of the parenting struggles in the movie, the wondering if you're doing it right and questioning yourself constrantly. I loved the magical theme and the humor. Simply put, I loved this movie--and if you haven't seen it, I believe you will, too. It also opened up some good discussions with my five year old on these struggles and the way we sometimes don't always do our best, but we try so very hard.
Want a chance to enjoy this movie, too? The Odd Life of Timothy Green releases tomorrow, but I have a copy of the two-disc combo pack for one lucky winner (*cannot ship to PO boxes and will need a phone number to ship to Canadian readers). To enter, simply leave a comment telling me why you would like to win this DVD. Good luck! Giveaway closes Wednesday, December 5th.
I was given a copy of the DVD to review, but opinions are all my own.

This movie looks so good! I love Jennifer Garner and have been waiting for this to come out (missed it in the theaters).
Honestly, I've never heard of this movie... Clearly I need to get out more and watch more movies! I like you, have two boys (5 & 2), so we don't watch much more than cartoons either. This would be an awesome chance to show them something else, something different!
We saw the preview when it was about to go to theaters...My kids were very interested in seeing this. Would be a great Christmas gift.
I took Emma to see it and LOVED it!!! I would totally love to have the DVD forever and ever. It's such a sweet movie.
I would love to see this movie. My little girl really want to go to the theater but I like you wasn't sure she would make it through it.
Every day during Advent we have a special treat/activity/craft. One night is movie night with popcorn and Grinch juice - this would be perfect.
And I like movies that make me cry.
We all saw this movie in the theatres and we LOVED it! Some of the themes went over the kids' heads, but I think that's what makes it a great movie for the whole family. It keeps the adults engaged and the kids laughing and asking questions. Loved it.
I would love to see this movie. My 6 year old daughter and I wanted to see it in the theater but didn't make it. It's definitely on our list!
I just rented this last week and cried so much. It's a really wonderful movie.
I'd like it because I wanted to see it when there were commercials for it during the Olympics.
We really wanted to see this! Would be a great flick for our Friday pizza & movie night!!

I was dying to see this movie in the theatre but that didn't happen :( Seeing that the previews made my eyes mist up!
I've wanted to see this movie ever since I saw the previews, but somehow my kids were not too keen and hubby kept asking if I could go see it with girlfriends :-) Net result-- haven't seen it yet and would LOVE to see it.
btw, your kids are ADORABLE and you inspire me with your commitment to running. Maybe someday, I'll join the ranks.
I'm a sucker for a good family movie - and we don't have the chance to get out much these days!
With kids from 10-16 its great to have a family movie (that is not a cartoon). This one looks so good!
I'd love a non-cartoon kid movie. And the girls and I do Friday night movie night every Friday they are with me, so new material is very important. :)
Oh I wanted to see this! I will totally cry too because the trailer makes me teary. Plus I am pregnant right now (Yay!) and I cry at e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. So I don't have a chance. :) But I really do want to see it and I would love to watch it with my kiddo.
I clearly don't have kids, because I've not heard of this one. But add it to the list that starts with "Brave" for what I want to watch with your kids when I come over. :-)
I wanted to see this when it was out in the theatre and true to form, I missed it. Would love to be able to watch it in my jammies.
I still haven't seen this and I reaaaaally want to! I think the kids would love it too!

Would love to see this movie - my kids are 7 and 9(today actually) and are in the stage where non-cartoon movies are acceptable. My daughter has wanted to see this, and I would LOVE to see the struggles they deal with...as we have MANY of our own. :)
