As I'm nearing the third trimester (OMG IKR!?), I'm finding that I want to dress up less and less. I remember looking forward to getting into maternity clothes at first, but right about now, I'm ready to spend every day in yoga pants, a tank top, and flip flops. Unfortunately I think that would get me super fired, so I'm trying my best to keep dressing like a professional adult. But by the time June rolls around? All bets are off!
Today I have my gestational diabetes test. With Luke, I passed with flying colors, so I'm not too concerned. What DOES concern me is the thought of having to go all day without any sugar, not even a 100 calorie fudge brownie (or two). But here's a secret... you know how every pregnant woman in the world hates the glucose drink? I love Glucola. I love it so much that I would buy it if they sold it in the store. I would buy it and mix it with vanilla ice cream, and it would be flat sugary orange drink LOVEfest every day at my house.

Congrats on entering the 3rd trimester. Fun stuff :) I cannot believe you like that awful drink! haha. I was praying I'd pass so that I didnt have to drink it again for the 3hr test. Well enjoy the Glucola later!
You look beautiful!!! Wow! I know what you mean about getting dressed up...I don't feel like prettying myself up at all. I'm a nurse so I get to wear scrubs to work & throw my hair up in a bun. If I had to actually get "ready" so early in the morning I'd go nuts...I don't think I could do it.
I'm glad someone likes that drink. I have it in my fridge & it doesn't look that bad but I'll find out how it tastes in 3 weeks.
I totally loved the Glucola too! Seriously, it's like... my drink of choice. You are so beautiful! You make pregnancy look good, but I definitely understand the need to be in yoga pants. It's a NEED, not a want. Yep.
Is there something wrong with you? You like that stuff? Well I love you anyways and you, as always, look amazing.
I actually didn't think that drink was so bad. It was the chugging it in 60 seconds part that grossed me out. Also? Having to do the three hour test and chugging even more of it. I didn't want to drink orange soda for a very long time afterwards!
Good luck on your preggo test, teach!
I don't even like to dress up and I am not pregnant. But, I do remember despising maternity clothes by the time I was done being pregnancy.
Oh boy...I can't wait to drink it...What week is that?
And here I thought we could be friends. Now you're totally grossing me out. Someone should warn the doctor's office though. On the off chance that they come up one glucola case short after your appointment.
Freak.
I think we were separated at birth. I freakin' LOVE the glucose drink! When I went to drink it during my second pregancy, the nurse said "you have five minutes to drink the bottle". So I took it, finished it while standing at the window, showed her the empty bottle and dropped it in the trash can. I swear, she looked at me like I had a horn growing out of my head. I even felt the need to state "I love that stuff," just to break the awkwardness.
It's a perfect delicous mixture of Mountain Dew and orange pop. YUM!!! Ooo! I wonder if we mixed that if it would make a tasty drink...something to consider tasting.
I'm drooling right now...
I had a feeling you were a weirdo. :)
You look beautiful as always. Just beautiful. Even if you hate being dressed up. I can't blame you. That's why I quit working. Not to be with my son, but so I wouldn't have to wear business attire. Okay, so that's not entirely true. I was actually laid off, but it sounded pretty good, right!
I love being a mom so much. So much in fact, that I think I will have to blog about it. I need some good material since I've really only blogged on Wednesdays and Thursdays lately.
Thanks, babe! Love ya!!
oh sick. I hated that drink, haha! I threw up afterwards it upset my stomach so much. :(
When I was at the end of my pregnancy and having to dress up, I had to get reeeeally creative because nothing fit me. And then at about 37 weeks my feet grew so fat that none of my shoes fit. So I had to wear CROCS with my dress pants, HAHAHA! I think the pregnant people should be cut some serious slack.
I actually didn't mind it! I thought it was kind of fun, except I totally spent the first 30 minutes cracked out and the last 30 minutes asleep in the waiting room.
Yoga pants, tank tops and flip flops sound great to me!
You are crazy. Cute. But crazy. I just had to take the glucose test on Tuesday. I hate it. The drink, the nausea, the blood draw. UGH.
And, I always fail - twice I've failed. Maybe you could take the three hour version for me? There's a lot of nasty orange sugar drink involved.
You are beautiful and before you know it you will be cuddling that baby G or B. I still say I think it's a girl...
You look so pretty! And shhhhh, don't tell anyone but I kinda like that orange drink too.
HAHA! I also love that drink! Looking forward to it!
