I feel like I've popped in the last few days. It's hard to believe I'm 17 weeks already.
This pregnancy is flying by, and more and more lately, I'm realizing how unbelievably blessed I am to have this. Two very beautiful friends found out this week that the babies they'd wished and hoped and dreamed of were not to be. I want to cry and scream at the unfairness of it all, at the fact that as much as I want, I cannot fix it for them. I want to hug them and wave a wand to make it all go away, but I can't. But what I can do is treasure every single moment of this and realize how very, undeniably lucky I am to have what I have. I want to throw on the brakes and slow it down, just so I don't blink and suddenly it's July.
Can you wait until April to stop time? I'm tired of winter. ;) Though certainly I get the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteAnd for what it's worth, July 6 is pretty much the BEST DAY EVER to have a baby, so that's what you should shoot for. :)
I'm so glad that things are continuing to go well for you and that you're blessed with a healthy pregnancy.
Your belly is wonderful, I absolutely adore it. And yes, you popped!
ReplyDeleteYou are a wonderful friend and I'm so lucky to have you in my corner, thank you.
Yes. You are blessed indeed.
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous with that perfectly petite little bump. Anybody ever tell you that you could double for Drew Barrymore? Not pregnancy related, but man, you look a lot like her!
Very nice post, Erin. You were so sweet and gracious in what you said about savoring the moment, etc. I wish I could do that more.
ReplyDeleteYou look great. You are so sweet- can't wait until the next time I can hug you!

Look at you go! i wish i had not been so self conscious and had a record of my belly, even with just one baby. No one wants to take pictures of my belly any more.
ReplyDeleteCute little belly!
ReplyDeleteI left you a little something on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. Pregnancy is so special and flies by, so enjoy it while you can! :)
ReplyDeleteit's unbelievable that we are allowed to do things such as create a life. i marvel at it all the time when i look at dade, as i'm sure you do when you look at luke. i'm thrilled that your pregnancy is going well, and i'm sure that at times, you feel as i did, that it's almost unfair and miraculous that things are going well when so many people have troubles. but you are the most compassionate person i know, and hopefully the friends that you have that are having troubles will take comfort in your small miracle and your calm and comforting ear.
ReplyDeleteI had similar things happen with friends during my pregnancy. It's a tough feeling. I hope this doesn't just fly by for you, and that you're able to cherish every moment.
ReplyDeleteYou are very blessed to have this beautiful life inside you. You look so amazing and so glowing....I can see the pink ruffles and patent leather shoes. My heart goes out to our friends who suffered such an awful loss this week too.
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful woman. A beautiful friend. A perfect teacher. A gloriously beautiful mommy. And a delightfully beautiful preggo! Oh, how I want to touch your tummy and oooh and aaah and sing! Yes, you are carrying a miracle... and how wonderful to know this...
