I did love this book as a chi...What a fun giveaway! I did love this book as a child too. I remember my teachers printing out this story in Mad Lib form and had us fill in our our nouns and verbs. We have the words memorized by this point. As for a children's book from my childhood, I vividly remember enjoying The Poky Little Puppy. I realize that is not exactly a high quality children's lit classic, but man, I loved looking at the illustrations of those puppies, and I got a kick out of the main character's naughty puppy shenanigans. My favorite story book to read as a child was The Giving Tree.
