Red coats worn by little boys who insist on trudging through the deep snow without any help, no matter how many times they fall (this same little boy would also insist on removing his mittens constantly).

Note the intense concentration on his face.
Red shirts worn by bigger boys who love to help in the kitchen.

They were making brownies. I shared his joy.
Red light that backlights the trees when it finally stops snowing, in a burst of beautiful light that is only there for a moment before the sun sets for good.

I am so glad I took the moment to notice this.

What a gorgeous sunset! And my boys made brownies yesterday too! I had wanted to make them with them, but I actually had to go into work, in the midst of the snowpocalypse. Boo.
stay warm in this snow and COLD!!
I wasn't sure you were talking about the red jacket in the first picture. His cheeks are awfully red and squishable too.
oh your little one looks very determined!
You had me at brownies. Yum!!
Wow, that last one is GORGEOUS! And the kids are pretty cute too... ;)
Your little guys look a LOT like my little guy in the snow. Won't hold a tall person's hand (NOOOO) and mittens refuse to stay on his hands (Grrrr!)
And OMG - that sunset is stunning. Well done Friend!
breath taking sunset!
I love Tommy's cheeks and determination he looks like a little lumberjack.
Beautiful sunset!
love the cooking pic! i'm posting it on my blog as one of my faves from this week's You Capture :)
beautiful photos! Love the red!
Your natural, not-looking-for RED is magnificent. I'm sure the mittenless hands were pretty red, too! Why do boys do this!!?? xo!
