I have actually created this grade to assign to my live blogging endeavor. Except that as my students often claim, it totally wasn't my fault. As I settled into update post-lunch, I realized the internet wasn't working. Horrific, right? I tried every troubleshooting trick I had up my sleeve before resorting to tech support, who offered no support until finally fixing it this afternoon. I've kind of felt like the universe is conspiring against me lately, so the fact that the internet was down for four days in the midst of the one and only time I've tried to live blog is pretty comical.
I'm not going to lie, being internet free (mostly, because I still have my phone) was kind of nice. I filled the free time that I might've used for online with baths and books. Although I was a little sad that I didn't get to live blog that Tommy eats his ramen noodles with a hand instead of a fork and can you blame him? They're pretty tasty.

I was also a little sad that I couldn't tell you how Tommy ate lunch, then put on his hat as if he thought we were going to play outside. Apparently he forgot that a) he was sick, and b) it's cold outside and I hate hate hate the cold.

Sometimes he amazes me with his bigness. Like, he knows that putting his hat on is a way to signal that he wants to go out and play. Yesterday, I was getting him dressed and absentmindedly said, "Lie down, so I can put your pants on," and when I turned around, he was on his back smiling at me. And just last week, he said ball, car, and bus for the first time, all in the same day. He then repeated bus eight million times while frantically pointing at the window, as if this would bring the school bus back past the house and then I kind of wished that he didn't know how to say bus.
I'm pretty excited because we're all actually healthy for once, and I hope it stays that way well into next year. I really should be folding clothes right now, but also I'm so behind on emails and my feet hurt (which I realize has nothing to do with folding clothes) and the laundry will still be there tomorrow, right?

The laundry will ALWAYS be there, that's the problem with laundry. So yeah, skip it. It deserves some punishment.
Also. Yes, Tommy is too big. I don't get how that happened so quickly.
I agree that the laundry can wait. So relax and put your feet up. You totally deserve it.
Hilariously I have actually told kids they have an F- too!
I may have checked your live blog repeatedly for the rest of the day and wondered if my google reader was messed up and then checked it again on your actual site repeatedly before wondering if the internet was broken. Maybe. About 25 times...
I totally think your feet hurting has to do with laundry. Just pretend like you HAVE to stand up to fold, and now you can't because your feet hurt. :)
Glad everyone is healthy! I have decided you all must stay that way, because I say so! :)
He's getting so big and it sounds like he gets an A+, such a smarty! :D
I'm so glad you are all feeling better. Junior used to be obsessed with school buses when he was Tommy's age, it's actually how I would get him happy to leave and go to his grandma's house when I had to go to work! Haha.

No Jinx
That is really funny in an Alanis Morrisette ironic way that your internet died while live blogging...
Oh Tommy! STOP GROWING! I remember when Ben was his age he was OBSESSED with school buses too. He would sign "more" and then say "bus! BUS!!"
Sigh...
Happy you are all healthy too!
for your sake, i realllly hope everyone stays well into the new year. and i hope those seizures stay away into the new year and the next year and the next year and then for the next 100 years. i'm praying for that.
