Icing On The Face
I really want to tell you about Tommy's birthday party, but I am so tired. Also, my house is a mess, but mainly, I am so tired because you know, the birthday party and then for various dumb reasons, I've actually been awake since one in the ayem.
For now, I will just say that it was beautiful. The weather was wild, the food was plentiful and delicious, the birthday boy was spoiled beyond what we deserve, and the love was palpable.

i wish i had one of these pictures, but emma is weird and doesn't like cake. i don't know why i'm telling you this as you may not want her as a daughter-in-law anymore.
He looks like he is enjoying that cake. I remember when The Chicken turned one and she cried and cried when we got icing on her fingers, thinking she may smash her cake if she realized she could.
Altho now she devours cake, so i am not too worried.
I cannot believe he is 1.

Such adorable pictures! I love first birthdays...I guess I love all birthdays! But the first ones, when they get to tear into cake and the only ones that really know why are the spectators, are extra awesome.
