Columbines are some of my favorite flowers. Did you know that those four little bulbs at the end are filled with a very sweet nectar? My apologies to all the flowers I destroyed as a child because they taste so very good.

Pink is my favorite color, especially paired with yellow. LOVE. My wedding colors were pink and yellow, and if I could go back in time, they'd still be pink and yellow... but this time around, it'd be straight up eye punches for every person obnoxious enough to say, "AREN'T THOSE EASTER COLORS!?"

I don't know what these are, but they were growing on a bush near my parents' garden (I need to blog about how my parents' house is basically the Garden of Eden in springtime), and I love how the white flowers seem to burst from little yellow buds.

I love peonies, and I love how the yellow is just tucked away amongst the folds of pink. I kind of want to make a pillow out of peonies.

Delicious hot pink and yellow.

And proving that I can take pictures of things that aren't flowers, my dad and Tommy. I am very thankful for how much they love each other, and I am also thankful that my dad was wearing a yellow sweatshirt, enabling me to share this.

I am also thankful that your dad wore yellow so you could share the adorable photo. And I love the peonies - and all of the yellow (and pink) flowers. Simply beautiful.
I love that Coldplay song :)
I don't know if I ever realized the peonies have yellow inside! And I LOVE the idea of pillows made of peonies! Such beautiful flowers, and such a wonderful moment of your dad with Tommy.
That photo with your Dad is the best.
I too think that hot pink and yellow are very yum.
So beautiful! And that last one is
my fave!
Steph
Oh, I love peonies as well! Beautiful pictures!
Those were beautiful colors. Quite the photographer you are. I am hoping to be like that and take some with my new camera that just came. :)
Just stopping by to share some of your yellow on this rainy day.
I love the thirst picture down, it so lovely!
Gorgeous shots, one and all. My peonies aren't blooming yet, but they're swelling in their buds.
Those are so gorgeous! Your dad is a photographer's dream, too, I think. I just planted my FIRST peony ever last weekend and I am just BREATHLESS with anticipation over it. But I heard they bring ants because ants are in charge of opening the blossoms. So I guess you could say I'm ANTSY. (ugh)
i really like these... ( love the coldplay song- i've been singing it all week) what i loved about your captures is that the yellow wasn't obvious and yet it was the subject... nice.
Your first shot is totally amazing! Love it!
Love that first one, and wow, had no idea they tasted that good! LOL!
Love your shots...so bright and cheery. Like your title, too. :) Good song!
Beautiful! The white ones bursting from the yellow are my favorite. You can almost see the motion!
Your pictures are crystal clear. Your dad looks like a proud yellow grampa.
I like the last one best. (but they are all pretty great)
Those flowers are gorgeous! LOVE.
Also, my bestie just got engaged AND I'm going to be her maid of honor AND she's going to have pink and yellow as part of her wedding colors. There may be some orange in there too, but we're still quite a ways away so we'll see how it goes. :-)
I am in love with that third shot. It's a framer!
Loving your photos! Nothing like the grandparent relationship.
Love, love, love.
that last lily shot is gorgeous! such great colors!
come on over for a visit if you feel like it. my yellow shots are posted now, too.
These photos are among your most exquisite... I, too, love yellow and pink (we are having our house painted an historic shade of yellow next summer and I can't wait)... but the photo with your Dad and Tommy has captured a moment in time that speaks of pure innocence and the love that flows like a great river from generation to generation. Your Dad's face is perfection and Tommy's expression is perfection. You have captured a little miracle there... !
I don't understand how people made fun of your wedding colors, you wedding was SO pretty!!!
Those little yellow beads that burst into white flowers are amazing. I want a whole garden filled with them. GORGEOUS.
Yellow is my second favorite color too. Green being the first. And green and yellow together? A duo that can't be beat.
I love how you sought out the less obvious yellows. I lamented that I hardly had any yellow in my life and you went out and found yours - and the yellows you found resulted in beautiful photos. I love those hidden shades of sunshine especially in the peony. Very nice!
You take gorgeous photos. And you are beyond gorgeous yourself. I was just thinking last night about how pretty I felt a year ago, so pregnant, so content somehow. I'm happy this summer, don't get me wrong, but I am hitting that stage where I start to criticize and think, the baby is almost a year, I should be exercising and eating better, etc., etc. I heart you, is what I'm saying and I think you are gorgeous.
beautiful pictures! Especially that last one!
