Random And Miraculous

If you only have the time for one blog today, don't waste your time here. No, seriously, click over here as fast as your fingers can move. I promise you her story will give you chills.

Ahem. If you're still here, I'm going to assume it's because you have time to read more than one blog today, so you checked out Crooked Eyebrow's, then came back here to tell me that I was right, it *did* give you chills. And I was right, wasn't I? When she told me, I literally typed "holy shit omg!" (so eloquent, right?) then stood there, grinning stupidly as my students came into the room.

Okay, I actually don't have anything coherent to say today, just some random thoughts floating around. So, here I go!

+Does anyone else watch The Real Housewives of Orange County? It is so obnoxious and stupid, but I can't look away. And I kind of hate myself for it.

+I wish I could let go of concerns about weight gain while pregnant. Gaining weight is necessary and good while pregnant (to a point), and I know this, but it still makes me cringe. Again, kind of hate myself!

+I make sexy faces at myself in the mirror while blow drying my hair. I don't hate myself for this.

+If I had loads of money, I'd hire a professional foot masseuse to just sit around and rub my feet all day. My attempts at making my husband into such a person have mostly failed (although he is rubbing my feet RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE THIS, LOVE HIM SO MUCH). What's one crazy splurge you'd make?

+And my last random question/thought for the night is this: if you have highlights, how often do you touch them up? Because I never know how often I should go, and as much as I'd love to go every four weeks, it seems like my hair doesn't even need touched up then.

I think touch ups every 4 weeks is too soon. I usually do them every 6-7 weeks or even longer (but I have to admit my hair doesn't look very pretty by that point!)

And I totally thought I was the only freak to make sexy faces at myself in the mirror. Do yours come with poses too? Mine do. And I make no apologies.

Miracles DO come true... and this one is truly magnificent!

I'm still here... no, I cannot watch Real Housewives. Audrey made me sit through one episode and it made my untanned, New England winter skin crawl... !

I gained 50 pounds with Audrey and she was almost 6 weeks early. I swore I would never do that again. I gained 60 pounds with Jane. I TOLD you I wouldn't do 50 again! Ouch. I couldn't get one THIGH into my pre-pregnancy pants and it took me 2 years to lose all the weight. But I enjoyed all the eating while it lasted!

If I had loads of money, I would hire a hairdresser to live next door and wash and "do" my hair whenever I needed her/him to. Oh, and I'd have a chef, too... one who shops and cleans up, also.

I don't have highlights, but my roots need touching up every 3 weeks. My hair grows very fast!

I love your random thoughts... !

You're so funny in spite of not having anything coherent to say. Sorry, I don't watch desperate housewives so got nothing to say about it. 2nd you're lucky to have a masseuse at your beck and call. 3rd you're pretty as you are!

You crack me up with your sexy faces in the mirror. I can totally see you doing it, too!!

I used to get highlights and would try to get them touched up every 2 months or so. Since my hair is lighter, it wasn't so bad if I waited longer than 6 weeks!

I don't watch Real Housewives, but maybe I need to? Or not?

If I had an endless supply of money, I'd hire a personal shopper. I just don't have time to get all my shopping done (based on extensive lists that I create) and I'm seriously slacking in my birthday/holiday present buying and sending. I have so many great ideas, but never seem to have time to pull them off. I always end up buying something last minute that isn't nearly as good as it should be.

And yes, I'm so blown away by Crooked Eyebrows news. It's truly a miracle.

Sexy faces? LOL!

I would hire a chef in a nano-second. No one in this house likes to cook!

Your husband can make that pasta salad again any time, btw.;)

I'm LOVIN the idea of a personal foot masseuse. That would be heaven.
