Can You Feel the Love?

I have two items of importance! Wait, I have three items of importance. First, I am on FALL BREAK, which means a glorious four day weekend. Can you hear the choirs of angels singing? My plans are to hit up the outlet mall today and to get a facial tomorrow.

Second, remember how I said that we might be in the newspaper for the Jacques Pepin luncheon we attended? Here we are! In case you don't yet recognize me, we're the couple in the second photo, and my husband is ridiculously excited to be standing next to his idol. Check out my sweet quote at the bottom. Thankfully, no one has busted us out for missing work that day. At least this article is much less shocking than the time Shane told a reporter that I was pregnant, and then it ran in the newspaper BEFORE WE HAD TOLD MOST OF OUR FAMILY. I received no less than a million phone calls THAT day, thanks honey!

And last, but certainly not least, the fabulous Sharon @ Mom Generations gave me an award! This is noteworthy because I absolutely adore Sharon. Not only is she an amazing writer, but she's also gorgeous AND is a former English teacher who is always offering me sage advice on how to avoid strangling my students.

I am pleased to pass this award on to seven fabulous bloggers who I totally love, so please go check them out if you haven't already!

Happy FALL BREAK! Doncha just love a 4-day weekend! Especially this time of year!

Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the photo and the article! Has Shane stopped smiling?! Your "reporter" stories are too funny! One year, many years ago, my husband was asked by a good friend to go to opening day at Fenway Park. Of course, it meant calling in sick that day... which my husband pondered... until I told him to GO. I remember saying, "It's not like you'll be seen..." Well, the seats were right behind home plate, and there my husband was, the next day, in the Providence Journal. Thank goodness our principal was a huge Red Sox fan... he just told my husband to get him tickets from the same guy! I call that his Ferris Bueller story!

And... I DO LOVE YOU BLOG! You are so energetic and enthusiastic and loving and smart and fun and all the things I LOVE! I am very excited to explore the blogs you love! Thanks, Erin, for being you!

Thanks so much! Man, I can't believe your husband told a reporter you were pregnant when you were still trying to keep things quiet. MEN. LOL

You're on a fall break? You stink.

I have a planning day tomorrow. Does that count?

I had another "precious moment" the other day!! It was another field trip- there is a girl in our class who is somewhat of a trouble-maker. I didn't think she liked me that much, but all day long she kept walking next to me and holding my hand.

6 year olds are so sweet! Unexpectedly so, sometimes!

Thanks for the love. How did you know I needed it? I am totally jealous of your fall break. I'm counting down the days until Election Day and then Veterans Day. November will be nice because I think there is only one week where we go to school the entire week. Pretty cool!! Hope you enjoyed shopping and your facial.
