I'm going to hand in my girl card right now because although I like shoes, sparkly lip gloss, and chick flicks, I hate to cuddle.
I should clarify this slightly. I don't mind cuddling when I'm awake. When I'm awake, I like hugs a lot. But when it's time for me to sleep, I cannot STAND to be touched. Not even a hand hold. No, instead, I flatten myself against the wall and snuggle into my blankets, enjoying my personal space. Even weirder? I have a little stuffed dog that I hold onto when I sleep, and I really do sleep better with something in my arms. Something inanimate, because if my husband tried to snake his arm in there, I'd bite it off before I'd sleep with it.
Hollywood has led me to believe that I'm very bizarre, because I should be waking blissfully snuggled in my husband's arms, with a full face of makeup. And then we should totally make out right away, with no thoughts paid to morning breath. Instead, I thank him for not getting too close to me, then I snuggle up to him. When Luke slept with us, I made a brief change to my rule and could sleep with him touching me, but whenever I got the chance, I'd scoot him over by Shane, then enjoy my tiny bit of space.
Shane says that I'm a complete nut for not wanting to cuddle at night, but I'm going to say he's nuts for even thinking about wanting to give up his sleep space. But I'm not entirely sure, and unfortunately, you can't exactly walk up to strangers on the street and say, "Hi, DO YOU LIKE TO CUDDLE?!?!" without chancing a restraining order, so tell me, Blog World, do you like to cuddle?

i love to cuddle, awake and asleep. i realize when you're asleep you don't really know you're doing it, but there is something about waking up all snuggled up and knowing then that you slept that way. it is generally when i am awake that i decide i don't want anyone to touch me :)
I am exactly like you. My husband finds this super weird but I cannot fall asleep unless he's way on the other side of the bed.
I like to cuddle BEFORE sleeping, but then HANDS OFF!!! I once shared a bed with a fellow who had me wrapped in a death hold all night and I couldn't sleep . . . making it worse, his room had NO windows! And I really, really liked the guy, but I just wanted to break free!
Maybe in the past I wouldn't have minded staying up late "cuddling" but now I value sleep WAY too much!
oh yes, i'm a lot like that. more of a cuddler during the day. when my hubby and i first got married, we fell asleep cuddling or at least having an arm or leg touching. 3 years later, no touching at all ;) i don't have a stuffed animal, but i have to have an extra pillow to sleep with. i sleep on my side, and it fits perfect!

I like to cuddle while awake, and sometimes I like to fall asleep laying on my husband's chest. Most of the time though? I need my space to get a good night's rest. I need my precious sleep!
I'm giggling out loud at the thought of you stopping random people and asking if they like to cuddle! I am more of a cuddler, but Chris isn't. So I have adapted to not after 10 years of marriage, though I do like to sneak a leg over to touch him when I can!
LOL, this is funny. I used to be a cuddler but now I like my space. I will tolerate some cuddles once in the while but generally my husband and I end up on opposite sides of the bed.
I like brief snuggles but when I am done...I am DONE!
I have to say, I love to cuddle. The only exception was when I was morning sick during pregnancy. Then DH couldn't come near me.
I like to cuddle right up until I'm ready to sleep. Than it's hands off.
I have one of those long body pillows that I curl up with. I think my husband is jealous of it! :)
So I TOTALLY know what you mean. Cuddling while sleeping is fine as long as it's an inanimate object! lol!
No! I am not a cuddler. Altho my hubby is, and so are most of my kids. So I make them cuddle. : )

I like to cuddle when *I* want to cuddle...and with my choice of the person I want to cuddle with. ;) So while I like to cuddle sometimes...I'm very picky about it. And I don't mind sleeping with my kids in my bed...but what annoys me is when they move around. :P
I think I miss spooning intermittently during the night (not consistently because I got too hot) even more than sex now that my wife and I no longer live together.
How long does it take a person to get used to sleeping alone?
Yes, when I am awake I like it. When I am trying to sleep, NO!
